Day-wise Itinerary
Welcome to Kerala! Our friendly driver will pick you and your family up from Cochin Airport or the railway station. Yes, airport transfers are completely included in your package.
From Cochin, we take a scenic 4-hour drive to Munnar. The road itself is beautiful. On the way, we will stop at the Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls. Kids love the view, and it is a great spot to stretch your legs. Once you reach Munnar, check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax, walk around the local market, or just enjoy the cool mountain air with your family.
Have a warm breakfast at the hotel. Today, we explore the best of Munnar.
We will drive to Eravikulam National Park (home of the Nilgiri Tahr). Please note, the park is sometimes closed for a few weeks in early summer for animal calving season, but we will arrange a great alternative! Next, we visit the Tea Museum to see how tea is made. The kids will enjoy the tea-making demonstration. Later, we head to Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy a peaceful boat ride. We also cover Echo Point and Kundala Lake. After a fun day, we drive back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.
After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to the hills and hello to the backwaters. We drive down to Alleppey, which takes about 4 hours.
Here is the highlight of your trip: checking into your very own houseboat! A houseboat stay is completely included in this package. The boat will cruise through the narrow canals of Vembanad Lake. You can sit on the deck, watch village life pass by, and keep an eye out for local birds. Your lunch, evening snacks, and dinner are freshly prepared and served on the boat. It is a magical experience for the whole family.
Wake up to the gentle sound of water. After breakfast on the houseboat, we check out by 9:30 AM.
Our cab will pick you up from the boat jetty. If time permits before your flight or train, we can do a quick Cochin sightseeing tour (like the Chinese Fishing Nets or Fort Kochi). Finally, our driver will drop you at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station for your journey back home, carrying beautiful family memories.
